LiveTheLifeTV and Dimitri Daniloff asked me to curate a selection of artists for the launch of the Ikigai platform. I said yes quickly. Photography has been renegotiating its relationship with technology since the 2000s, and this was a chance to watch that happen up close, with artists I trust.

The selection is contemporary photography with range: conceptual work, poetic images, land art, landscape. Some of these photographs are iconic, and earned it through exhibitions, awards and publications. None of them needed this platform to matter, which is exactly why I wanted them on it.

These are not reproductions. Each work was given new life by its maker for this space: narration in the artists' own voices, moments of animation, scale that print cannot offer. Maia Flore's stillness set in motion, Taufenbach-Pourtout's visual illusions, Hannah Whitaker's constructions, Cédric Delsaux's 'Dark Lens' narratives.
