The dozen
Twelve works, selected with the artist from the kept the way Nº 1 selected its twelve: for daylight, for distance, for the walk between the rows. Printed at the sheet maximum on brushed aluminium, the full 190 × 145 that WhiteWall can make, mounted free-standing between the rows, insured for the season. The collection's prints ride the standard menus; the dozen rides the whole sheet.

The images above are studies. Every master renders from its seed at 200 dpi on the full sheet, nothing upscaled ever, and travels to WhiteWall with its order sheet the day the show is placed.
Standing in the weather
A two-metre panel is a sail
We say it before any château asks: a 190-centimetre aluminium work is nearly three square metres of sail, and an Atlantic gust will treat it as one. The show stands anyway, because the mounting is engineered, not improvised, and because the vineyard itself already knows how to stand in this wind.
Rooted like the rows
Helical ground screws, not concrete: nothing poured among the vines, everything reversible when the season ends. Two galvanized posts per work, set the way the estate sets its own trellis ends, carrying a bonded perimeter subframe so the sheet never takes the wind alone.
Aligned like the vines
The works stand in the direction of the rows, edge-on to the prevailing westerlies, the way the vines already stand. A panel broadside to the Atlantic is a kite; a panel in the row is a wall the wind walks past.
Rated, on paper
Footings and frames are signed off by a local structural engineer against named storm-gust loads before the first screw turns. The rating is part of the show's file, alongside the insurance. The estate never carries the risk.
Down in minutes
Keyed bolts: any work comes off its posts in minutes, by two people, no tools left on site. When the forecast turns, the dozen sleeps in the barrel room, and metal is the one medium that does not mind.
Which estates
The show chooses too
Not every estate, and the criteria are the room's rather than the market's: long rows with space to walk them, light that holds into the evening, and a house that already knows how to receive people. A kitchen that means it. A cellar someone will open. Hosts who stay in the room after the pouring. We visit before we agree, and we eat at the table, because a season is a long time to give a place chosen from photographs. An estate can say no to us; we can say no to an estate; both refusals are cheap and both are information. The estate commissions the show the way it would commission anything else that lifts a season. We do not pay for the wall, and we do not ask for it as a favour.
One day of vernissage opens the show; the works remain for the season. Nothing is sold on site: the only thing guests can buy at the château is your wine.
The exhibition's living originals keep writing at the pool, and the whole method is public. This page is the show's permanent digital wing, seen by collectors worldwide, long after the season ends.
