Bacquet comes from film direction and treats AI as one more camera: a tool for visual research and experiment, not a subject in itself. The question underneath the work stays constant: what technology does to human nature, asked from very close range.

The series began by running AI against older, analog machines: oscilloscope variations distorting the body. The point is historical rather than nostalgic: technology has been part of daily life since the seventies, and bending reality with it is nothing new. Only the look of the interference changes; the process never has.

Alongside his own series, Bacquet has collaborated with Issey Miyake and Dior, and with the artist Azelphara made « INFINITY »: the first music video to use AI narratively, recognised at the Berlin Commercial awards. It asks his standing question outright: what does 'creator' mean now?
