Why we chose this

The first text-to-image model, built in 2015 by Elman Mansimov at nineteen, five years before anyone outside a lab had heard of this. The outputs are small, blurry and barely legible (a green school bus, a toilet in a field), and that is exactly the point: this is the moment the thing started working at all.
