Collection

Why we chose this

Forty-nine recollections of one moment in a half-built house, each lit differently and generated at the instant of collection, seeded by the collector's own wallet. Van de Roer calls it generative photography and the claim holds: the picture is not fixed until someone takes it. Rare in that the mechanism and the subject (memory, and how it edits itself) are the same thing.
