Why we chose this
Ernst Chladni drew a violin bow across a sand-covered metal plate in the eighteenth century and the sand settled along the nodal lines. Those equations are the whole generator here, which is about as pure as this form gets: a few lines of maths and endless variation. Phaust then prints them as a Risograph would, one semi-transparent spot colour at a time, misregistration included.
