Why we chose this

Twenty-one frames made together in Marfa, Texas in 2021 by two photographers who otherwise hang in this room separately. DiDonato stages unease indoors and Zank folds bodies into architecture; put in the same desert they turn out to share a sense of humour, which is not obvious from either practice alone. Collaborations at this scale usually read as a favour between friends. This one reads as a third artist.
