Why we chose this

Made for LACMA's Art and Technology Lab from a 1986 Bullseye Quilt in the museum's collection: code imitating a form whose whole value was that a person's hands made it. Xie leaves the tension unresolved, which is the right call. The museum context does real work here rather than lending prestige.
