This picture was painted on 30 July 2026, the day Ethereum turned eleven and the twelfth mountain range rose at the shore.
On the morning of that day we named one block of Ethereum's near future, in public, while it was still unwritten: block 25,644,500. The chain wrote it at 08:33:11 UTC. Sixty-four confirmations later its hash became the seed, and the seed is the entire picture. There is no other input.

Nobody could know it early and nobody could choose it. Not a collector, not a market, not us. The picture could not be shopped for or steered. It could only be received.
Twelve ranges stand in it, one for each year of Ethereum's life, each silhouette drawn from that year's real daily closes. The twelfth was hours old when it was painted, 0.07% into its year, its raw edge the present day.
The engine is public and its version is committed, so what anyone paints in any future year is provably what painted this:

Read the block, check out that commit, paint twelve ranges with the last one three percent drawn, and hash the result. It will be the file above, which is also the file pinned behind this token. Three independent points, one digest. That is the whole reason for doing it this way.
The same seed was re-rendered at print scale and printed at 190 x 142.5 cm directly onto brushed aluminium, where white is never printed. Almost every bright passage in this picture is bare metal rather than ink.
This piece does not grow. Every other piece in 生涯 gains a range each July 30 until 2045. This one is the origin artifact: the work as it stood on the morning it began.
